Air Transportation: Morocco and UAE Strengthen Cooperation for Better Travel Experience

Morocco’s national carrier, Royal Air Maroc, and Etihad Airways of the United Arab Emirates have agreed to enhance their cooperation ties in order to provide their customers more flight options and better services for a memorable travel experience.
The agreement, signed Monday, enables travelers of companies to book their entire journey on a single ticket and have their baggage checked seamlessly to their end destination.
Abdelhamid Addou, CEO of Royal Air Maroc said : “We are very proud to establish this important partnership with Etihad Airways, which aligns with our ambition to further enhance our connectivity and continue offering our passengers a more optimised and seamless travel experience through our respective hubs.”
Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, said: “the agreement covers a broad range of activities including the expansion of existing codeshare arrangements offering more domestic routes in Morocco and Africa, developing existing frequent flyer programme and collaboration in ground handling, maintenance and engineering.”
The existing codeshare agreement gives customers of both airlines enhanced connectivity to destinations across each other’s networks, between Morocco and the UAE as well, beyond Casablanca into Africa and beyond Abu Dhabi.
