EgyptAir unveils Manchester, New Delhi routes

Egypt’s national carrier EgyptAir has added new routes serving India and the United Kingdom, namely Cairo to Manchester and Cairo to New Delhi.
The Manchester-bound flights will kick off on July 15 with plans to operate five weekly round trips on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, using the Boeing B737-800NG model.
The first flight from Cairo, numbered MS781, will be at 10:00 am and will arrive in Manchester at 1:30 pm local time.
Direct flight to Delhi will start on 1 August, using the latest A320neo Airbus model. The takeoffs are scheduled at 11:40 am on Fridays and Sundays and landings at 8:45 pm local time.
The new routes come following the inauguration of Dhaka route in Bangladesh and New Jersey’s Newark city (U.S.) destination as part of the airline’s expansion plans.
The expansions are meant to contribute to Egypt’s tourism sector. The country welcomed in April a record-breaking 1.35 million tourists, marking a significant milestone for the country’s recovering tourism sector amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine crisis.
Authorities aim to attract a total of 15 million visitors in 2023, surpassing the previous record of 14.7 million set in 2010.
