U.S. Hails Morocco’s King “Crucial Voice” in Promoting Peace in Middle East

The United States has paid tribute to the “crucial voice” of King Mohammed VI in promoting peace in the Middle East and building a “secure and prosperous future for Israelis and Palestinians”.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken “lauded King Mohammed VI’s crucial voice in advancing regional peace and his leadership in promoting a secure and prosperous future for Israelis and Palestinians”, said the State Department in a press release issued following Blinken’s latest telephone call with Moroccan Foreign minister Nasser Bourita.
The two ministers discussed on this occasion the importance of the Negev Forum and affirmed the importance of full adherence to the recent ceasefire in Israel and Gaza.
The United States has recently praised the role played by Morocco, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of Al-Quds Committee, in supporting the Palestinian people and advancing the two-state solution and peace in the Middle East.
During their telephone conversation, Secretary Blinken and Foreign minister Bourita reviewed the latest regional and global developments as well as the U.S.-Morocco bilateral security and economic partnership.
On this occasion, Washington emphasized its strong commitment to further strengthening the U.S.-Morocco bilateral security and economic partnership.
