Nokia to build IoT infrastructure for Egypt
Egypt’s telecom company, Telecom Egypt has tasked Nokia International to build the country’s Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure expected to spur improvement of businesses.
The deal signed between Adel Hamed, managing director and CEO of Telecom Egypt, and Henrik Fall, head of cloud services and networks in the Middle East and Africa at Nokia, will also contribute to the automation of projects and help companies reduce their operating expenses, enhance productivity, and provide new services to markets faster, Zawya reports.
Nokia will provide a global IoT infrastructure and a Pay As You Grow business model, and enable Telecom Egypt to provide IoT services at low prices.
Egypt expects the IoT infrastructure to contribute to the automation of projects and help companies reduce their operating expenses, enhance productivity, and provide new services to markets faster.
