Covid-19: Some 40 cases of UK variant detected in Dakhla – Official

Some 40 cases of the UK variant of the Covid-19 have been detected in Dakhla, announced Monday the Regional Health Director of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, Salima Saâsaâ.

The health condition of those tested positive for this variant is “stable” and does not cause any concern, Saâsaâ told the press, adding that patients were placed in sanitary isolation.

Patients and their contacts are treated according to the health protocol in force in the Kingdom, she said.

 

According to the health official, a series of measures have been adopted for the early detection of cases of Covid-19 variants in the region of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, part of the National Monitoring and Response Plan for Coronavirus.

 

The measures for the management of cases have been updated, taking into account the epidemiological situation at national and global levels, she added.

 

The official urged citizens to comply with the rules of health prevention in force, in a spirit of patriotism and responsibility.
