WHO to sign a clause of confidentiality with Madagascar to support Covid Organics clinical trials

Director of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, held a videoconference with the President of Madagascar Andry Nirina Rajoelina.

The two men mentioned the famous Covid Organics, the Malagasy herbal tea that is supposed to fight Covid-19.

Malagasy President Andry Nirina Rajoelina said the WHO will sign a confidentiality clause on the formulation of the CVO and will support the clinical observation process, which will extend throughout the African continent.

“Following the invitation of WHO to register in the ‘Solidarity Trial’ for clinical trials, Madagascar will prove the effectiveness of the 3rd protocol combining two different injectable drugs of Covid Organics,” the Head of State continued.

At the beginning of May, the WHO had called for caution so as not to fall into misinformation, particularly on social networks, regarding the effectiveness of certain products in the fight against the new coronavirus.

On May 12, however, WHO Africa had made a point of congratulating all those involved in the search for a cure for the disease. On Twitter, the Organization had written: “Traditional medicine, supported by scientific studies, can contribute to better access to medicines and Universal Health Coverage in Africa”.
