Morocco’s capital city to host CAF Confederation Cup

Moroccan capital city, Rabat, has won its bid to host the 2019/20 CAF Confederation Cup final match scheduled for May 24. The one-final game will be played at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
The decision was announced on Monday by CAF, Africa’s football governing body, after reviewing the submitted bids taking into consideration key facilities such as infrastructure and accommodation.
Cameroon’s Japoma Stadium in Douala has also been picked to stage the final of the premier continental club championship on 29 May 2020.
It will be the first time, the Interclubs final will be played in a single match, following a decision taken by CAF Executive Committee last June.
Tunisia’s Rades Olympic Stadium had submitted its candidacy to host CAF Champions League final 2019/20 while Casablanca’s Mohammed V stadium was seeking to stage CAF Champions League final 2019/20.
