Burkina Faso: 11 people killed in the northwest

Armed terrorists killed at least 11 civilians on Friday night in the village of Siéwali, Kombori commune, located in the province of Kossi, in north-west Burkina Faso, near the Malian border.

In the North of Benin, near the border with Burkina Faso, a Beninese police officer was killed in an attack on a post during the night of Saturday to Sunday, police said in a press release.

It is the first time that an attack has targeted Beninese police, in this border area where two French tourists had been kidnapped and their guide murdered in Pendjari Park in May 2019.
