Morocco’s Ambassador to Botswana Hands Credentials to President Mokgweetsi Masisi

Botswana President, Mokgweetsi Masisi, received Thursday in Gaborone, Youssef Amrani, who handed him his credentials as Morocco’s extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Botswana.

During the audience, President Masisi expressed the esteem he harbors for King Mohammed VI and the appreciation of the Government and People of Botswana for the Kingdom’s role in promoting South-South cooperation.

The President also welcomed the excellent relations existing between the two countries and underlined his willingness to continue working to strengthen these relations.

The Moroccan diplomat, on his part, underlined his willingness to contribute, through a strengthened political dialogue, to the development of ties and economic cooperation between Morocco and Botswana.

The two countries have great potential for cooperation in several areas at the bilateral level and within the framework of the African Union, as well, Amrani pointed out.

Youssef Amrani is also Morocco’s extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to South Africa.
