Tunisia-Germany: President Kais Saeid invited to Berlin for maiden international trip
President of Tunisia Kais Saeid is expected to visit Germany in November as his maiden international trip since his inauguration on October 23 after his landslide victory at the presidential elections.
The new President received Monday Germany’s top diplomat Heiko Mass who handed him an invitation from Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The German Foreign Minister told the media following the meeting with the head of state that Saeid is invited to attend the third session of Compact with Africa in November.
Initiated by Germany, Compact with Africa connects the G20 and Africa where world’s 20 most advanced countries seek to promote investment, increase employment and improve the investment environment in the continent.
Germany, through the G20, enabled Tunisia to benefit from around €465 million in the form of aid.
