Royal Air Maroc Launches Its Biggest-Ever Summer Season With 8.2 Million Seats Across 86 Destinations

Royal Air Maroc has unveiled its summer 2026 program, its most ambitious seasonal schedule to date. The national carrier will offer nearly 8.2 million seats across 86 international destinations, a 23 percent increase on the corresponding summer 2025 program. The expansion is driven by a fleet of 67 aircraft — the largest in the company’s history — and, for the first time, will be operated entirely without recourse to chartered aircraft, a milestone the carrier presents as evidence of its commercial maturity and fleet resilience.

The network is weighted toward Europe, which accounts for 44 destinations and more than 3 million seats, a 22 percent increase designed primarily to serve the wave of Moroccan Residents Abroad returning home for summer holidays. Africa will be served through 29 destinations with over 1.8 million seats, a 36 percent gain that reinforces Casablanca’s role as a continental hub for African diaspora and business travelers. The Americas — seven destinations in the United States, Canada and Brazil — will receive 723,000 seats, up 7 percent.

The Asia and Middle East network, covering six destinations including China, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, will offer more than 524,000 seats, a 16 percent increase. The domestic network will provide approximately 1.2 million seats, up 18 percent, improving connectivity across Morocco’s regions. Point-to-point services — direct routes not transiting through the Casablanca hub — will offer over 890,000 seats, the sharpest increase at 37 percent, boosted by the launch of a new operational base in Tetouan.

Royal Air Maroc is maintaining the “Europe at night — Africa by day” hub scheduling structure introduced during summer 2025, designed to reduce transit waiting times and improve connection quality at Mohammed V International Airport. The company describes the approach as central to its competitiveness as a transfer hub serving both intercontinental and intra-African flows.

CEO Hamid Addou described the program as a major milestone in the company’s development, positioning Royal Air Maroc’s summer 2026 capacity expansion as a strategic commitment to both the mobility of Moroccans abroad and Morocco’s international visibility. All summer flights are already on sale through the airline’s website, call centers, commercial agencies and travel agents.
