OCP Nutricrops, the fertilizer arm of Morocco’s OCP Group, has renewed its annual agreement with Bangladesh’s state-run Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) to supply phosphate-based fertilizers for the 2026-2027 crop season, the company said.
Under the deal, OCP Nutricrops will deliver up to 1.3 million tonnes of phosphate fertilizers, including as much as 750,000 tonnes of Triple Super Phosphate (TSP), a key nutrient used to improve soil fertility, the company said in a statement.
The agreement was signed on June 25 in Casablanca and marks the continuation of a long-standing partnership between the two entities, which dates back to 2008.
OCP Nutricrops said the supply will support Bangladesh’s efforts to enhance agricultural productivity and ensure food security, a major priority for the country as it seeks to meet rising demand for crops while improving soil health.
Beyond fertilizer shipments, the agreement is part of a broader engagement between Morocco’s OCP Group and Bangladesh. Earlier in 2026, the OCP Foundation signed a three-year partnership with Bangladesh’s agriculture ministry focused on farmer training, agronomic knowledge sharing and soil health improvement initiatives tailored to local conditions.
