OCP Nutricrops Expands Globally With New Subsidiaries in France and India

Morocco’s OCP Group is pressing ahead with its international growth strategy, as its fertilization solutions subsidiary OCP Nutricrops secures government approval to establish two new foreign entities — one in France and one in India — marking a significant step in the group’s transition from export-focused operations to embedded local market presence.
The authorizations were formalized through decrees published in Morocco’s Official Gazette on March 12, 2026. The groundwork had been laid over the preceding year, with both the OCP Group board and OCP Nutricrops board validating the dual establishment in March 2025.
The French entity, OCP Nutricrops France SAS, will be incorporated under French law as a wholly-owned subsidiary with share capital of 26 million euros. Its mandate covers commercial operations across Europe and the development of fertilization solutions tailored to European soil profiles and crop requirements. The move positions OCP closer to end markets increasingly driven by demand for sustainable, low-carbon fertilizers — a regulatory and commercial landscape that is both highly competitive and strategically important.
The Indian subsidiary, Nutricrops India Private Limited Company, will be established under local law to develop, produce, and market fertilization solutions adapted to one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing agricultural markets. India is a major importer of phosphate-based fertilizers — a segment where OCP holds global leadership — making local implantation a logical step toward deeper commercial integration, improved logistical efficiency, and stronger regulatory compliance.
Both moves reflect a broader strategic pivot by OCP: from being primarily a commodity exporter to becoming an integrated global agri-nutrition player with localized solutions, production capabilities, and commercial networks embedded in key markets across Europe and Asia.
