The Council of the Arab League has hailed the efforts made by the Al-Quds Committee, chaired by King Mohammed VI, for the protection the Holy city and preservation of its identity.
In a statement issued Sunday following the Israeli decision to close Al-Aqsa Mosque, undermining the freedom of worship and access to the Holy site, the Council of the pan-Arab organization recognized the key role played by Al-Quds Committee and Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, executive arm of the Committee, and expressed support for their actions for Al-Quds and resilience of the Palestinians living in the Holy city.
The Arab League has also reaffirmed the sovereignty of the State of Palestine over the entire city of East Al-Quds, capital of the State of Palestine.
