Rabat & Manama Agree to Boost their Multiform Cooperation

Morocco and Bahrain have agreed to enhance their cooperation ties through the signing of several agreements in agriculture, animal breeding, food security, Customs services and social security .

The agreements were sealed during the 6th meeting of Moroccan-Bahraini High Commission held Monday in Laâyoune under the co-chairmanship of Moroccan FM Nasser Bourita and Bahraini peer Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.

Bahrain which supports Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over its Sahara opened a general consulate in Laayoune in December 2020.

The two countries also agreed on visa waiver for holders of diplomatic and official passports. They hailed on this occasion the excellent relations binding the two countries under the leadership of King Mohammed VI and King Hamad Ben Issa Al Khalifa.

Bourita praised the deep and strong fraternal relations between the two Kingdoms and peoples, highlighting Morocco’s willingness to advance and expand bilateral partnership taking into account the huge potentials and assets of the two countries.

For his part, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani expressed Bahrain’s determination to strengthen and diversify bilateral cooperation to include various sectors serving the Bahraini-Moroccan shared interests.

Besides bilateral relations, the two officials discussed latest developments in the Arab world and on the regional and international scene.
