Libya’s Oil Ministry Reports LYD 1.947 Billion in January Royalties and Taxes

The Libyan Ministry of Oil and Gas announced that it collected a total of LYD 1,947,725,346.002 in royalties, taxes and related fees from concession and participation contract companies during January 2026.

The breakdown shows that surface rentals contributed LYD 714,346.402, royalties amounted to LYD 127,731,131.644, and tax revenues totalled LYD 1,819,279,957.956.

The ministry noted that crude oil accounted for the lion’s share of the revenues, with royalties from crude oil reaching LYD 107,949,932.731 and crude oil taxes totalling LYD 1,086,926,677.424, while no income was recorded from natural gas for the month.
