The Moroccan Atlantic city of Agadir hosts the third edition of the Regional Social and Solidarity Economy Fair from January 26 through February 1, 2026. The event continues efforts to deepen the momentum for valorizing social and solidarity economy products, according to organizers.
The fair aims to highlight regional actors’ specificities and expertize while reinforcing promotional actions and valorization of local and regional artisanal products. Initiated by the Souss-Massa region in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, the event reaffirms the strategic role of handicrafts and social solidarity economy as essential levers for sustainable territorial development, aligned with New Development Model orientations.
The event, organized under the theme “Social and Solidarity Economy… A Strategic Choice for Inclusive and Comprehensive Development,” adopts contemporary scenography designed to offer visitors an immersive experience. A 4,800-square-meter space will showcase sector actors’ creativity and dynamism, highlight regional terroir products and local crafts, while encouraging solidarity purchasing.
The space comprises four main poles: a commercial pole featuring terroir products, cosmetics, artisanal products, and services with 160 exhibitors; an institutional and partners pole presenting national experiences and regional and provincial support programs for social solidarity economy development projects, along with civil society and private sector initiatives; an innovation pole spotlighting cooperative projects with strong creative potential; and a foreign guests and participants pole aimed at strengthening exchanges, experience sharing, and promoting international cooperation.
A rich program of conferences and training sessions will be offered to exhibitors during the event. These meetings, led by national and regional experts, will support sector actors in developing their production, innovation, and marketing capabilities while fostering experience exchange, product adaptation to consumer expectations and tastes, and reflection on sector challenges and perspectives. Visitors will also enjoy performances by folkloric groups representing different prefectures and provinces of the region, along with varied artistic evening programming throughout the fair’s duration.
