Morocco’s AFCON 2025 is rapidly transforming into a national festival, well beyond the boundaries of its world-class stadiums, thanks to a network of fan zones designed to bring the tournament to every corner of the host cities.
These zones are drawing thousands of supporters daily, offering free entry with a simple FAN ID from the Yalla app and featuring live match screenings on giant LED screens.
Across Rabat (OLM Souissi), Casablanca (Anfa Park and Espace Toro), Marrakech (Bab Jdid Square), Fes (Botanical Garden), Tangier (Villa Harris Park), Agadir (Marina Beach), and Temara (Kasbah Square), organizers have created vibrant hubs of football, culture, and community.
Each fan zone is a mini-celebration ground. From midday until late into the night, visitors enjoy penalty shootouts, juggling challenges, football quizzes, dribbling courses, and youth workshops, blending athletic activity with leisure.
Vibrant performances by local and African artists, food courts serving Moroccan street cuisine, and merchandise stalls round out the atmosphere. Rabat’s zone will host concerts featuring big names like French Montana, Davido, and Lartiste, spotlighting AFCON’s role as a continental cultural festival.
As the tournament takes place amid one of Morocco’s most rain-abundant winters in recent years, organizers reinforced the zone in record time, ensuring fans could enjoy matches and activities without interruption. This resilience reflects the meticulous preparation behind AFCON’s public setups.
The seamless integration of infrastructure has been a standout success. Morocco’s high-speed ONCF rail network connects major host cities, making it easy for fans and teams to access fan zones and stadiums alike. Furthermore, mini fan zones at airports demonstrate the inclusive approach to fan engagement, even welcoming travelers in transit.
With over 800,000 tickets sold and CAF lauding Morocco’s organization as “among the best ever,” media outlets are emphasizing how these fan zones elevate AFCON into an expansive celebration of unity, culture, and football.
