Sahara: Sierra Leone commends UNSC Resolution endorsing autonomy plan under Moroccan sovereignty

 

Sierra Leone has reaffirmed support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over its entire Saharan territory, praising in this regard the historic Resolution 2797 adopted lately by the UN Security Council.

The supportive stand was expressed by foreign minister of this West African country Musa Timothy Kabba during his talks held Thursday in Rabat with Moroccan peer Nasser Bourita.

The African minister has also reiterated his country’s steadfast support for the Moroccan Autonomy Plan recognized by the international community as the only credible, serious and realistic solution to this Sahara regional conflict.

Similar supportive positions were voiced Wednesday in Rabat by the foreign ministers of Gambia and Malawi during separate meetings held with Nasser Bourita.
