Morocco: Dislog Group consolidates medical device operations in strategic expansion

Dislog Group has finalized the legal and financial structuring of Dislog Medical Devices (DMD), consolidating six specialized subsidiaries into a unified entity targeting Morocco’s growing healthcare equipment market. The new organization combines Megaflex, Afrobiomedic, Farmalac, Eramedic, Promedstore Imaging, and Scomedica under centralized management while preserving operational autonomy.

The strategic build-up involves a 700-million-dirham fundraising to support DMD’s domestic and international development over two years. Management teams from the six subsidiaries received an 11 percent equity stake, aligning leadership interests with growth objectives. Dislog completed full acquisition of Megaflex and Scomedica by purchasing remaining shares from founders Nacer Amrani and Dr. Ali Squalli respectively.

Mehdi Bouamrani assumes the chairman role while Karim Hajj Riffi leads as chief executive officer. A steering committee comprising principal shareholder-executives ensures unified governance while maintaining specialized expertise, with original founders continuing to manage their respective subsidiaries. An integration seminar gathered all 250 employees this week, reinforcing collective commitment toward achieving 2 billion dirhams revenue by 2028.

Financial backing demonstrates institutional confidence: MCP and CDG Invest Growth contributed 540 million dirhams for 35 percent equity, while founders invested 190 million for their 11 percent stake. Dislog Group retains majority control and operational leadership, committing 700 million dirhams cash to accelerate DMD’s growth trajectory.

Currently ranking third among Moroccan medical device companies with 1.1 billion dirhams revenue and commercial presence in 65 countries, DMD positions itself as Morocco’s comprehensive healthcare solutions provider. The company has already launched its continental expansion with a Tunis subsidiary, planning to unveil its African strategy at Arab Health 2026 in Dubai.
