Israel’s i24NEWS opens offices in Morocco
Israeli TV channel i24News opened Tuesday offices in Rabat and Casablanca, after launching its bureaus in Dubai and Bahrain following the normalization of relations between Israel and these Arab countries within the frame of the US-brokered Abraham Accords.
Several eminent Moroccan and Israeli personalities as well as foreign diplomats, businessmen, TV stars and artists attended a gala event organized in Rabat to mark the broadcaster’s operation in the North African Kingdom.
i24news company is part of the Altice group, owned by Patrick Drahi, a Moroccan-French-Israeli businessman born in Casablanca.
The network, based in Tel Aviv, broadcasts in Hebrew, English, Arabic, Spanish and French.
It employs more than 150 journalists and correspondents from 35 different countries.
