Justice: Rabat & Madrid Exchange Experiences, Coordinate Actions
Morocco and Spain have inked this week an agreement aimed at enhancing further their judicial cooperation, while protecting freedoms and respecting human rights principles.
The agreement, signed in Rabat by public prosecutor at the court of cassation, Mohamed Abdennabaoui, and Spanish Attorney General, María José Segarra Crespo, the terms for the exchange of experiences and expertise in the fight against crime and the sharing of information on extradition.
It also aims to strengthen the powers of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the two countries, in addition to sharing information on laws and special measures to combat crime, said Abdennabaoui.
For her part, Maria José Segarra praised Morocco’s judicial experience, noting that this agreement confirms the cooperation ties and mutual trust shared by the two institutions seeking a better understanding of Moroccan and Spanish judicial systems.
