Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) is exhibiting at Marrakesh Air Show (Oct.7-10) its supersonic & multirole FA-50 light attack jet developed in partnership with U.S. Lockheed Martin.
Derived from the T-50 Golden Eagle trainer, the Korean aircraft functions as both an advanced lead-in fighter trainer and a frontline light combat jet. KAI has chosen to showcase its aircraft in Morocco, a gateway to the African and Middle Eastern markets.
200 companies from 27 countries around the world are participating this year in the Marrakesh international aerospace and defense exhibition,
engaging in fierce competition.
KAI is displaying major aircraft models, spearheaded by the FA-50, alongside the next-generation fighter KF-21, the Marine Attack Helicopter (MAH), and the Armed Helicopter (MIRON).
According to press reports, Morocco has shown interest in the Korean FA-50 for the high operational efficiency of the jet which can simultaneously perform advanced training and light combat missions. KAI looks forward to establishing a foothold not only in Morocco but also throughout the entire African continent.
During the exhibition, KAI will hold a series of meetings with high-ranking government and military officials from major African and Middle Eastern countries, including Morocco, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Saudi Arabia.
