Senior Palestinian Presidential advisor for Religious Affairs Mahmoud El Habash has praised the efforts made by Morocco to strengthen the resilience of the Maqdessis, through the Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif Agency.
In an address he made Wednesday at the 11th International Conference of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide convening in Cairo, Mr. El-Habash thanked Morocco for its constant backing to the Palestinian people and their just cause.
The support for Palestinians in the current situation should not be limited to emergency aid, but should be part of an integrated strategy to strengthen their resilience and their attachment to their land, he stressed, affirming that peace in the Middle East hinges on the end of the Israeli occupation and recognition of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The two-day Cairo conference brings together muftis and religious leaders from over 80 countries to discuss ways of protecting family cohesion and cultural identity against modern geopolitical and digital challenges.
