NG9 Holding, the UAE-based investment group, and Dar Alsalam Sport Management Company, the UAE subsidiary of Morocco’s Dar Al Salam Group, have agreed to explore joint investment opportunities in Morocco.
The targeted sectors include tourism, hospitality, sports, real estate investment, and marine asset and facility management, marinas, the companies said in a joint statement.
The move comes as Morocco will co-host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, an event to attract new investments in infrastructure, sports facilities, tourism, hospitality, and related services.
The Moroccan government is expected to spend nearly $40 billion on transport projects ahead of the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which the country is co-hosting with Spain and Portugal.
The United Arab Emirates is Morocco’s a major economic partner and top Arab & foreign investor, capturing an 18.9% share of total net FDI inflows. Major Emirati investments have been injected in renewable energy, real estate, water infrastructure (such as desalination plants), and industrial development in win-win partnership projects.
