Guinea’s Foreign minister Morissanda Kouyaté has expressed his country’s thanks to King Mohammed VI for the humanitarian and safe return of dozens of Guineans who were rescued off Morocco’s Atlantic coast after a shipwreck.
The minister expressed gratitude upon the arrival of the first group of Guinean nationals in Conakry International Airport aboard a plane of Royal Air Maroc coming from Moroccan Saharan city of Dakhla.
The Guinean top diplomat has praised the royal humanitarian gesture and hailed the efforts made by the Moroccan authorities to help the Guinean survivors, reflecting the strong, deep, and historic relations existing between the two countries’ Heads of State and peoples.
Other similar safe and dignified return operations are expected to take place in upcoming days for Guineans who have voluntarily chosen to return to their homeland in line with Morocco humanitarian management of migrants and policy advocating humane, orderly and safe migration.
