Justice: Rabat, Madrid & Lisbon Agree to Enhance Cooperation to ensure success to 2030 World Cup

Morocco, Spain and Portugal have agreed to strengthen transnational judicial cooperation to ensure success to the FIFA World Cup 2030, to be co-organized by the three countries.

The agreement was inked lately in Rabat by justice ministers Abdellatif Ouahbi (Morocco), Félix Bolaños (Spain) and Rita Júdice (Portgual). They pledged to step up mutual judicial assistance & coordination, promote digital justice and strengthen the fight against crime and cybercrime.

The tripartite agreement seeks to foster judicial cooperation framework to respond to the challenges resulting from hosting major international sport event such as World football tournament.

The move also strengthens the relationship of trust between the three World Cup host countries. It is the first time in the World cup history that the event will be staged in both Europe and Africa, bringing the two continents closer.
