Rabat Strongly Condemns Iran’s Missile Attacks on Arab Countries in the Region

Morocco has condemned in the strongest terms Iran’s missile attacks that violated the integrity and security of the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan.

These attacks are “blatant violation” of  the national sovereignty and security of these Brotherly Arab countries and threaten stability of the region, said Moroccan foreign ministry in a press release issued Saturday.

Morocco expresses its full solidarity with the targeted Arab states in all legitimate measures they take in response to the Iranian aggression to protect their security and peace of their citizens and residents.

The US and Israel launched on Saturday pre-emptive attacks against Iran, with explosions heard across the country. In response, Iran has launched missile attacks targeting neighboring Arab countries, allies of the United States.

In a statement posted on social media, US President Donald Trump said: ‘A short time ago the United States military began major combat operations in Iran.’

He added: “Our objective is to defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime”. He said Iran was pursuing a nuclear weapons program, affirming that “they can never have a nuclear weapon”.
