Morocco and Germany officially launched the “Sabeinya” commemoration campaign Thursday in Rabat, celebrating 70 years of diplomatic relations through a year-long program mobilizing economic and cultural actors to transform historical partnership into future opportunities. German Ambassador Robert Dölger characterized the celebration as a milestone symbolizing unshakable confidence and renewed commitment to shared prosperity.
Relations between Morocco and Germany, reestablished in 1956 shortly after the Kingdom’s independence, rest on constant dialogue, mutual trust, and long-term cooperation. Dölger emphasized the anniversary represents precious opportunity to valorize shared achievements that “have enriched countless lives on both sides and rest on personal commitment from so many Moroccans and Germans.”
Beyond historical retrospective, the celebration focuses resolutely forward, offering platforms exploring vast collaboration potential in crucial domains including commerce and investment. Emphasis targets work opportunities for both nations’ youth plus mutual enrichment through linguistic and cultural exchange. “This celebration is a bridge toward the future,” Dölger stated, inviting renewed engagement for coming decades.

A specially designed logo integrating Moroccan green and German yellow alongside both flags embodies bilateral relations’ balance and harmony. Described as “a very good balance,” the logo will appear on numerous events and publications, testifying to partnership vitality.
Ambassador Dölger concluded by reaffirming Germany’s commitment remaining an open, reliable partner working to promote quality information—free societies’ fundamental pillar.
