King Mohammed VI chairs religious ceremony in commemoration of 27th Anniversary of death of Late King Hassan II

King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid and Prince Moulay Ahmed, chaired on Thursday at the Mohammed V Mausoleum in Rabat, a religious ceremony in commemoration of the 27th anniversary of the passing of late King Hassan II.

The religious event was marked by the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran and the declamation of panegyrics of Prophet Sidna Mohammed.

On this occasion, the Sovereign, flanked by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid and Prince Moulay Ahmed, paid his respects to the grave of the late King Hassan II.

Participants in the ceremony raised prayers for the rest of the soul of the late King Hassan II and his father the late King Mohammed V. They also prayed the Almighty to preserve King Mohammed VI and to crown his actions and initiatives with success.

On the same occasion, a similar religious ceremony was held at the Assouna Mosque in Rabat under the chairmanship of Princess Lalla Meryem.
