Ryanair targets 30 million passengers in Morocco by 2030

Ryanair plans to double its passenger traffic in Morocco to 30 million by 2030, leveraging its growing presence in the North African market ahead of the FIFA World Cup, a company executive said Wednesday.

The Irish low-cost carrier is implementing an “ambitious growth strategy” to expand from its current 15 million passengers, said Elena Cabrera, Ryanair’s spokesperson for Spain, Portugal, France, and Morocco.

“Morocco is one of Ryanair’s fastest-growing markets,” Cabrera told MAP on the sidelines of a Madrid-Barajas Airport event celebrating 200 million passengers in the Spanish capital.

Ryanair, the first European airline to operate domestic flights in Morocco, is set to deepen its footprint, including new routes to the southern provinces in coordination with the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT), she said.

The airline’s strategic position connecting Morocco, Spain, and Portugal strengthens regional mobility, a key advantage as Morocco prepares to co-host the 2030 World Cup.
