Attijariwafa Bank reported a 26.6% increase in its annual 2024 net profit to 950 million dollars, amid an expansion of activity in Morocco and in African subsidiaries.
The bank reported an 8% increase in loans to the economy in Morocco, raising its market share to 28.1% from 26.9% in 2023, it said in a statement on its annual earnings.
Last year, the bank issued 10 billion dirhams in household loans, facilitating access to housing and supporting consumption.
Investment financing also saw a significant acceleration, with a 29% increase in equipment loans, reaching 88 billion dirhams and bringing the market share to 32%.
Loans to businesses increased from 200 to 220 billion dirhams, gaining one market share point to reach 30% by the end of 2024.
Attijariwafa Bank consolidated net banking income reached 34.5 billion dirhams, an increase of 15.2% compared to 2023.
The bank has branches in 14 African countries and 8 European countries and two Arab countries in the Gulf.
