Morocco to acquire more defense trucks from India’s Tata Group

Morocco has signed a second contract with India Tata group to acquire more Defense Dump Trucks LPTA 2445 after having received 90 of these trucks designed for logistics and munitions transport, according to Indian press reports.

This new order strengthens further the growing defense partnership between India and Morocco. The newly ordered trucks will significantly enhance the Royal Moroccan Army’s logistical efficiency and operational flexibility.

The Defense Dump Trucks are specifically engineered to transport construction materials, supplies, and water resources, crucial for supporting operations in challenging terrains and remote areas.

The trucks’ ability to navigate challenging terrains and transport heavy payloads will be vital for supporting operations in diverse environments.

Morocco has partnered with TATA group to set up a plant in the Kingdom to produce locally armored combat vehicle WhAP 8×8 for the Moroccan army.

Tata Advanced Systems’ flagship product, WhAP 8×8 (Wheeled Armoured Platform) is India’s first infantry combat vehicle, designed for optimized survivability, all-terrain performance and increased lethality.
