AFCON-2025: Morocco Drawn in Group B alongside Gabon, Central Africa Republic, Lesotho

The 2025 African Cup of Nations will take place in Morocco from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026. The Atlas lions have been drawn in Group B alongside Gabon, Central Africa Republic, and Lesotho.

 

Morocco 2025 Qualifiers Draw was held Thursday in Johannesburg, South Africa. A total of 48 nations, including the four winners from the preliminary round (Chad, Eswatini, Liberia, and South Sudan), have been drawn into 12 groups of four teams, each to compete for berths in the finals.

 

The Pharaohs, who have won the AFCON seven times, will play against Cape Verde, Mauritania, and Botswana in Group C. Defending Champions, Côte d’Ivoire have been drawn in Group G alongside Zambia, Sierra Leone, and Chad.

 

The qualifiers will start in September 2024 and conclude in November 2024.The first and second-placed teams from each of the eleven groups, excluding Group B where Morocco competes, will earn their spots in the tournament.
