Morocco, Palestine poised to bolster industrial cooperation
Morocco and Palestine signed, Wednesday in Rabat, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen industrial cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration and mutual recognition of compliance certificates, quality marks and halal labels between Morocco and Palestine.
Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, who co-signed the MoU with his Palestinian peer, Arafat Hussein Suleiman Asfour Abusnina, stressed the importance of this agreement for mutual economic development, saying it will deepen industrial cooperation and promote trade between the two parties.
Mezzour also highlighted the potential of this agreement to explore new markets and investment opportunities, while consolidating the historical and fraternal ties between Morocco and Palestine.
For his part, Abusnina said his visit to Rabat was meant to stimulate exchanges and technical, commercial, and industrial cooperation with the Kingdom, as well as to promote an exchange of expertise.
The Palestinian official, who praised the significant progress made by Morocco in the industrial field, noted that this MoU would enable his country to benefit from Moroccan expertise.
