Morocco, Belgium discuss ways of upgrading their partnership, meeting shared challenges
Morocco and Belgium have discussed this Wednesday in Brussels ways of upgrading their partnership and meeting current and future shared challenges.
This came at a meeting between Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, and Belgian Prime Minister, Alexander De Croo.
The two sides expressed satisfaction at the partnership linking the two kingdoms, and examined ways of promoting their relations and meeting current and future common challenges.
They also discussed the ties of friendship between Morocco and Belgium, in line with the aspirations of the leaders of the two countries, King Mohammed VI and King Philippe.
The talks were held on the sidelines of the Global Gateway Forum, taking place in Brussels October 25-26. The Forum is bringing together over 40 high-level government representatives from EU and partner countries, as well as representatives from financial institutions, including the EIB and EBRD, the private sector, civil society, and international organizations.
Under the theme, ‘Stronger Together through Sustainable Investment’, the Global Gateway Forum will showcase progress in the implementation of the Global Gateway strategy, the EU’s offer for quality, transparent investments in connectivity, health, education, and research systems across the world.
After the plenary session of the Forum, to be opened by President von der Leyen, participants will hold a series of discussions focused on the green energy transition and green hydrogen, education and research, critical raw materials, and transport corridors.
Debates will also cover health products manufacturing and digital infrastructure.
