Morocco’s PM & EC Chief Discuss Partnership & Latest Regional Developments

Head of Moroccan government Aziz Akhannouch met on Tuesday in Brussels European Commission President Ursula Von Der Leyen in presence of foreign minister Nasser Bourita.

Talks focused on bilateral relations and ways of strengthening further EU-Morocco strategic partnership as well as latest regional developments.

“The EU will contribute to reconstruction and economic development after the earthquake” that hit the North African Kingdom, said Von Der Leyen in her X account.

The EU has extensive ties with Morocco in trade, political and security matters. Morocco is the European Union’s leading economic and trading partner on the African continent.
