Ali Bongo to attend Paris “Nouveau Pacte financier Mondial” Summit

Gabon’s leader Ali Bongo is expected in the attendance of “Nouveau Pacte financier Mondial”, a global Summit staged in Paris June 22-23 seeking to increase funding for the least developed countries and those most vulnerable to climate change.
The event co-organized by France, India (chair of the G20) and Barbados will be attended by several world leaders including Luis Inacio Lula Da Silva (Brazil), German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Ajay Banga (World Bank President) and Antonio Guterres (UN Chief).
The Gabonese leader is expected to defend the central African country’s environmental policy and the request for more financial commitment of industrialized countries.
During the Summit, Ali Bongo is also expected to attend the June 22 roundtable on “Partnerships on Green Growth” to be chaired by Congo’s President Denis Sassou-Nguesso.
