International Commission of Solidarity with Palestinian People hails Morocco’s King firm backing to Palestinian cause
The International Commission of Solidarity with the Palestinian People has praised the clear and constant support of Morocco and King Mohammed VI, Chairman of Al-Quds Committee, to the Palestinian cause.
In a press release issued Monday, the Commission of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, an offshoot of the Afro-Asian People’s Solidarity Organization, also hailed Morocco’s steadfast backing to the rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on all the lands occupied by Israel during the June 1967 war, with East Quds as its capital.
It highlighted the close and historic ties existing between Morocco and Palestine and thanked the King, chairman of the OIC Al-Quds Committee, for continuous and unwavering support to the Holy City and its inhabitants.
The Egypt-based Commission, which expressed its rejection of the use of the Palestinian cause in electoral campaigns for personal political gains, denounced the recent statement made by the Secretariat General of the Justice & Development Party (PJD) on Morocco’s relations with Israel and rebuked the instrumentalization of the Palestinian cause for political ends.
On Monday, Morocco’s Royal Office issued a statement warning the PJD Secretariat General over “irresponsible, excessive views and dangerous fallacies” concerning Morocco’s relations with Israel, pointing out that the instrumentalization of the Kingdom’s foreign policy in a domestic partisan agenda constitutes “a dangerous and unacceptable precedent.”
The Royal Office statement also reaffirmed that Morocco’s supportive stand of the Palestinian cause is irreversible.
The Afro-Asian People’s Solidarity Organisation (AAPSO), an international NGO dedicated to the ideals of national liberation and Third World solidarity, has repeatedly commended the efforts made by King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to defend the Palestinian people and their cause, and highlighted the influential role of the Kingdom in defending the Palestinian cause.
