Egypt, Romania ink MoU to bolster cooperation in science, technology research
The “Funding Body of Science, Technology and Innovation” of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Romanian Ministry of “Research, Innovation and Digital” have penned a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the field of science and technology.
The agreement signed Sunday aims at enhancing cooperation between the two parties in the exchange of information, skills and researchers, and supporting joint research activities in the field of science and technology between Egypt and Romania.
The cooperation will include joint research projects, seminars, conferences and workshops.
In a separate deal, the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company also inked a MoU with Romania’s Transgaz to reinforce joint cooperation in the field of natural gas transmission.
The agreement targets deepening cooperation between Egypt and Romania in the infrastructure development projects of natural gas transmission. It also aims at diversifying ways of supplying and distributing natural gas, in order to support energy security.
From the agreement standpoint, the two parties will form mutual groups to study the European standards and systems of the natural gas market as well as the reforms in the energy sector and the pricing of natural gas.
