World Cup: King Mohammed VI congratulates President Macron for France’s qualification to final
King Mohammed VI has expressed to President Emmanuel Macron his congratulations for the qualification of the French team to the final of the prestigious World Cup competition.
This came in a phone talk the Sovereign had with the French President at the end of the semi-final match of the 2022 World Cup, which brought together on Wednesday evening the teams of France and Morocco.
The match ended in the victory of the French (2-0).
At the end of the match, President Macron who was present at the Al Bayt stadium in Al-Khor (Qatar) went to the locker room of the Atlas Lions where he notably greeted the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) Fouzi Lekjaa, with whom he exchanged a few words.
the French president also tweeted “To our Moroccan friends: congratulations for this beautiful journey. You are making football history.”
