Lome-based Asky acquires new aircraft to beef up the fleet

Asky, a panafrican airline operating from the Togolese capital Lome, added a Boeing 737 to its fleet bringing its fleet to 12 aircrafts.
“This modern aircraft will be used to improve connectivity, increase frequencies and open new routes throughout the region,” the airline said in a statement.
The company, aged 12 and has Ethiopian Airways as main shareholder, operates flights to 26 destinations in 23 African countries. The narrow-body aircraft is six-year old and was used by Myanmar Airlines, Gecas and AerCap (leasing). Its capacity is 149 seats.
