Under Pressure of Algeria, Tunisian President Betrays and Stabs Morocco in the Back
Under pressure exerted by the Algerian military junta, Tunisian president Kais Saed made on Friday a hostile and provocative act against Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over its Sahara.
He rolled out the red carpet to Polisario chief Brahim Ghali, an enemy of Morocco, a war criminal wanted by European justice from crimes committed against humanity.
Availing the opportunity of hosting the 8th edition of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD), President Kais Saed, who received financial assistance from the Algerian rulers, reserved a warm welcome to Head of armed militias, backed by Algeria.
He made the provocative move to get the blessing of the corrupt and feckless Algerian Generals who are providing him with military and financial suppress his own people.
In a swift response, Morocco decided to recall its ambassador to Tunisia and boycott the TICAD Africa Conference used by Mr. Kaes as a political tool to undermine Morocco’s territorial integrity in connivance with Algerian junta.
“After having recently multiplied the negative positions and acts against Morocco and its higher interests, Tunisia’s attitude in the TICAD confirms its blatant hostility,” said a statement issued by Moroccan Foreign ministry.
Tunis decided unilaterally to invite the separatist entity against the opinion of Japan, said the statement, describing the warm welcome reserved by Kais Saed to the leader of the separatist militia as “a serious and unprecedented act, which deeply hurts the feelings of the Moroccan people”.
The decision of boycotting the eighth TICAD summit and recalling immediately Morocco’s ambassador to Tunisia for consultations, does not affect the strong ties existing between the Moroccan and Tunisian peoples, sharing a common history, said the ministry, affirming that Morocco remains committed to TICA and attached to the interests of Africa and its action within the African Union.
