Energy Efficiency: Morocco to share its experience with Senegal
Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency has agreed to share its know-how with Senegal in energy efficiency and alternative energies with the support of Andalusian International Cooperation agency.
A partnership accord was signed Wednesday in Rabat by Head of the Moroccan agency Said Mouline and Director of the Senegalese Agency for Energy Efficiency Djiby Ndiaye.
Under this agreement, the Moroccan agency pledges to hold training sessions for the staff of its Senegalese peer in energy efficiency & renewable energy, provide technical assistance for alternative energy projects and host study trips for top executives of the Senegalese agency.
Mouline said this triangular cooperation will strengthen the capacities of Senegal in energy efficiency, affirming that green economy opens up new markets and creates sustainable jobs.
For his part, Djiby Ndiaye praised the Moroccan-Senegalese partnership which is based on strong fraternal relations existing between the two countries.
The Senegalese Agency for energy efficiency, he said, looks forward to benefiting from the experience of Morocco in energy-saving initiatives and innovative solutions which helped to reduce the energy bills and cut carbon footprints in transports, construction, industry, farming…
