Tunisia extends the state of emergency until February
A decree from the Presidential office extended Tuesday the in-place state of emergency for one month starting January 20, reports say.
The security measure has been in place since November 2015 following a terror attack on the presidential guard in capital Tunis.
The attack claimed by the Islamic state group killed 12 security forces and wounded 16 others.
That same year, two other terror attacks claimed dozens of people, mostly foreign holidaymakers.
The Tunisian President had prolonged the measure in July for six months.
