COVID-19: Morocco lifts night curfew from this Wednesday, November 10

The Moroccan government has decided to lift the nighttime curfew that has been in place throughout the country for several months. The decision comes into force from this Wednesday, November 10, 2021. However, the vaccination pass remains compulsory.

This decision comes in accordance with the favorable opinion of the Technical and Scientific Committee and following the positive results achieved by the national Covid-19 vaccination campaign and their impact on the improvement of the epidemiological situation in the country.

The moves is taken in accordance with the legal provisions relating to the management of the state of health emergency, the government said Tuesday in a statement.

In addition to lifting the nighttime curfew, inter-city travel will be permitted without the need for any authorization. Likewise, parties and funerals will be authorized in accordance with health precautions.

However, the health pass or the vaccine exemption document will still be required for travel abroad or for access to public spaces: administrations, cafes, restaurants, shops, workplaces, tourist establishments, sports halls, hammams as well as other public facilities.
