Morocco: CNDH Elected to Board of Directors of Global Alliance of Rights Institutions

Morocco’s National Human Rights Council (CNDH) has been elected lately member of the Geneva-based Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI), representing the Network of African National Human Rights Institutions (NANHRI).

During the latest General Assembly of NANHRI, CNDH was also re-elected member of the Sub-Committee of Accreditation (SCA) of GANHRI and member of the Working Group on Business and Human Rights (GTBHR) alongside NHRIs of Malawi and Cameroon.

Furthermore, Morocco’s Rights Watchdog was re-elected Head of the Working Group on Migration and elected member of Steering Committee, representing the northern sub-region beside National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) of Ghana, Rwanda, Malawi, Zimbabwe, DRC, Togo, Kenya and Egypt.

The Network of African National Human Rights Institutions brings together 46 African National Human Rights Institutions. It supports National Human Rights Institutions in Africa, facilitates their coordination and cooperation at the regional and international level.
