COVID-19: Morocco suspends flights with UK, Netherlands, Germany
Moroccan authorities will suspend air links with the UK, the Netherlands, and Germany, Moroccan airlines RAM and Air Arabia said.
The decision was taken following the spread of a new and more contagious coronavirus variant in the three countries.
However, the suspension of flights will add hurdles to the recovery of a bad-hit tourist industry that relies more on domestic tourists.
Morocco has imposed vaccine pass for access to public places and travel between cities and provinces.
The country has fully inoculated 21 million people with two doses maintaining its status as the African nation with most vaccinated population.
