Covid-19-Morocco: Stern warning to holders of fake health pass & test certificate

Moroccan authorities have issued a stern warning to the scammers and holders of a fake health pass or false negative covid test certificate against the use of fraudulent health documents, saying this is a serious offense liable to criminal prosecution.

A high-level meeting was held Tuesday at the ministry of the Interior to discuss measures against travelers using fake Covid test certificates and health pass in an attempt to get around current entry requirements into the Kingdom.

They said that providing falsified health documents at the border is against the law, stressing that such a criminal act puts the health and lives of citizens at a serious risk. Such an act also undermines the national vaccination campaign which is gaining speed.

At the end of the meeting, it was decided that only travelers with a health pass, a vaccination certificate or a negative Covid-19 PCR test taken within 48 hours will be allowed entry into the Kingdom.

According to Interpol, Europol and FBI, the black market of fake covid vaccine passes and test certificates is growing exponentially as more than 1,200 online vendors operating worldwide are selling forged health documents.
