Huawei to build innovation, research center in Tunisia

Chinese tech giant Huawei will build an innovation and research center in Tunisia, head of the company’s North Africa region, Terry He, announced during a meeting with President Kais Saied.

During the meeting, he indicated that Tunisia boasts all the necessary criteria to become a tech hub in Africa.

Huawei, he noted, is committed to continue to support Tunisia, contributing, in particular, to the implementation of the project of the Health city of Kairouan, the creation of jobs and the training of skills.

The Chinese multinational is also willing to expand partnerships with universities and educational institutions and equip them with computer labs, he added.
